Spring cleaning? Yes! But with water toys and stuff

I’m not sure why the term spring cleaning is so popular because the idea of it goes against everything our bodies feel. In Ottawa, where I live, spring is a chance for us to retreat from the bowels of the homes in which we try to keep somewhat warm during the winter months.

So, to think about spring cleaning when we could be thinking about swimming in 10 degree temperatures that feel otherworldly hot for us seems ridiculous.

But, I guess, our homes are all messes from the hibernation and our yards need cleaning because we never did rake those leaves into bags last fall. And to experience summer as it is maybe meant to be experieinced, we need to go through this process of making everything not gross.

What if there was a way to make spring cleaning fun? And not in the “put on music you like” or “eat a piece of chocolate when you’re done” kind of way, but in the “use fun things to clean in the first place” kind of way?

Well, we were given a few water toys from Mastermind Toys and we didn’t get a chance to play with them outside because we had to clean the house. And cleaning the house seemed neverending and we really wanted to play with the new toys.

So we cleaned with them. And now you can too…

Bunch O Balloons with Launcher

Because the outside of the windows on the second floor of our house were last washed…

But hey, now, with the Bunch O Balloons filling up hundred of balloons in minutes, we can chuck and lob and throw water balloons at them until our elbows fall off.

Wet Head Water Roulette Game

You know how you get in a groove dusting your house? Like when you start spinning and dusting and cleaning and then you’re about to sing a magical song and you realize your cloth is dirty and dry and you’re making things dirtier as you move along?

This game helps keep that cloth dry. And it doesn’t take long. Just pull a pin, drench your cloth and get back to it. And your shirt doubles as a cloth as well.

Double Drencher

Absolutely amazing as a pressure washer for the corners of the tub you usually aren’t able to reach without falling into the bathtub.
